What Does a Red Light Mean?

For the last few months, every time we get in the car, Collin "helps us drive" by telling us what color the lights are and what each color means. He's really gotten good at "green means go" and "red means stop". A few times, he's been paying more attention than we were because he'd say "green means go" and, sure enough, we'd look up to find that the light had turned green while we were talking. A couple of weeks ago, Tim decided to teach him that a yellow light means slow. Its not one we get to practice much. However, Collin has developed a sense of humor, and now if you ask him what a red light means, he answers "Red means stop" then he gets this adorable grin and giggles and says "Red-slow". Correcting him has become a game he really enjoys. I insist red means stop and he insists it means slow and we both giggle a lot. The other day we were playing this game on the way to daycare and after about the third time he insisted that red means slow, I said "Collin is teasing Mommy". His response? "Collin funny" and a whole lot of giggling. These are the kinds of moments I treasure.
