MD Seafood Festival
Today my Dad got free tickets to the MD Seafood festival at Sandy Point State Park so we headed out for some fun in the sun and some seafood. We got there shortly after it opened and hopped on the shuttle. It was Collin's first ride on a cheese wagon and he absolutely loved it. He was giggling and yelling "This is fun, Mommy!" the entire 5 minute ride to the park. After we got there, I put hats and suntan lotion on the kids and it was time to grab some grub. You had to buy tickets in order to get food, no cash accepted at the booths. It was kind of on the pricey side but the food was pretty decent. There were some really good bands playing. Mom and Dad really liked the one that played music from the 60's. They also had a bunch of vendors selling everything from cheese boards to inflatable hot-tubs for $4,000! Only $78 a month if you finance it and you can put it in the house if you want to. It was actually a pretty cool concept and they looked really nice but not practical, at least for us. Collin's favorite part of the day was going on the moon bounce. He got to go on twice! By 3:00 we were all hot and sweaty and ready to go home. It was a really nice day out in the sun. Maybe we'll take Collin back to the beach another day because he really enjoyed being there. We even let him take a quick dip in the bay while I fed Nick on a bench.
